The I-O Corporation 5755km
IPDS Print Server Gateway
is a high speed Ethernet-in, Ethernet-out print server designed to convert
native IBM host print jobs to PCL, allowing them to be printed on up to three Kyocera
Laser Printers, Copiers and multi-functional
products (MFPs). The I-O 5755km
Gateway delivers IBM AFP/IPDS and SCS printing via Ethernet, and provides
the control and printer feedback found in an IBM host environment.
In addition to IBM host connectivity, they support
the Kyocera's value added finishing features
on the higher end models.
If you only have one Kyocera printers or MFP
with the added finishing features, the
5735km Gateway that supports three printers may be the better solution
for you. Click here for information on the 5735km.

Other IPDS models are available if you do not need the Kyocera-Mita finishing
functions. Click here for these other
options and model numbers.

100 pages per minute
-
Supports over 100 AFP/IPDS
Fonts
-
10 / 100 Mbps Ethernet LAN,
auto sensing
-
Multiple Host support
(Power9, Power8 and all iSeries
AS/400, and z14, z13 and all zSeries S/390)
-
Multiple LAN protocols - TCP/IP (PPR/PPD, TN5250e, LPR/LPD), SNA (APPC), AnyNet (SNA over TPC/IP)
-
Host printing via Telnet
(TN5250e and TN3270E), SNA (APPC) or AnyNet
-
Simple, one step set-up (auto
configuration) when using TN5250e or TN3270e
-
Host controlled Printing,
including error reporting, page range printing etc.
-
I-O's award winning IBM AFP/IPDS
and SCS printer emulations
-
Easy to install and use,
includes I-O's Configuration Utility software
Attached to the LAN, the 5755km supports the high-speed
and high-performance Kyocera printers and MFPs. Whether printing from an IBM i5,
iSeries, AS/400 or a zSeries-S/390, fast printing can be obtained. Data
conversion is accomplished at the 5755km and sent to the printer via the
Ethernet LAN. Without the bottleneck of the parallel port the 5755km
supports high-speed printing featured in Kyocera printers
The 5755km offers the same reliable, full-function IBM host printing and
control found with direct Twinax/Coax attached printers. With the 5755km,
IBM host print jobs are not lost in the black hole of LAN printing. The
5755km provides bi-directional communication between the Kyocera printers and the
IBM host, allowing error reporting and page range printing.
Easy to Use
I-O's Configuration Utility software is included with every
5755km.
Whether selecting TCP/IP or SNA, configuration is made easy through the
use of a menu-based utility.
