Overview
 Praim's Printer Interfaces present leading edge technology in a
new generation of Twinax and Coax interfaces for IBM Midrange and Mainframe systems as
well as Printer Servers for local Token Ring or Ethernet networks. Precision design,
combined with extreme compact dimensions and new innovative functionality, provide
efficiency and value for a wide range of desktop and departmental printers - either matrix
or laser. Praim's Printer Interfaces are versatile components that allow custom printing
solutions for complex and mixed environments.
Below is information on the various printer interfaces and their
major characteristics. These interfaces provide a great way to use lower cost PC
matrix and laser printers as fully featured AS/400 Twinax or 3270 type printers.
PR165 - Twinax SCS Printer Interface
PLEASE NOTE: The PR 165 is no longer manufactured.
Currently we have a good supply of the PR165 in stock.
The PR165 is a universal external Twinax Printer Interface with
firmware resident bar codes and large characters.
Emulates IBM 5256, 5224, 5225, 4214, 4234/2, 5219/D1 and 3812/1.
Support for continuous forms, 3 drawers,
envelope, manual feeders, simplex/duplex, auto page
orientation, and COR (Computer Output Reduction)
PR165 is available in four different models:
- PR165E-SHA : for printers up to 600 LPM/20PPM
with integrated PC Share.
- PR165E-PAR: for printers up to 600
LPM/20PPM
with a direct parallel connection to your PC printer.
- PR165E-SER: for printers up to 600 LPM/20PPM with a direct serial
connection to your PC printer.
- PR165S-SHA : high speed interface for printers up to 2000
LPM/50PPM with
integrated PC Share.
