Mix devices and support multiple hosts

The Model 4030 lets you make the most of your current investment, supporting Coax and ASCII devices while providing maximum host connectivity. Mix devices on the system using banks of 4 or 8 Coax or ASCII ports, supporting up to 96 Coax or 32 ASCII devices. Three separate synchronous lines are available for connection to IBM hosts. These lines operate in BSO, BSC ASCII, and SNA/SDLC. With over 80 standard emulations, your ASCII devices have access to IBM and Ethernet host sessions. And, with passthrough mode, ASCII devices can access ASCII hosts. Coax devices also have access to ASCII hosts, and by using the CUT-mode windowing option you can view multi-host information simultaneously.  (Click on Picture for Specifications)

Provides full LAN and WAN connectivity

Add Token Ring connectivity to enhance host access for Coax and ASCII users. With DSPU and gateway capabilities, the Model 4030 provides 4030-attached and LAN-attached devices access to IBM host applications. Gateway and terminal server mode functions are available with the 4030's Ethernet connectivity option. You can also integrate X.25 for WAN access through the 4030.

Offers affordable, full featured support

Users will enjoy the benefits of the expanded printer capabilities of the 4030. Host addressable and CRT-attached printer support provide convenient printing right at the terminal. Mix text and graphics using IPDS for enhanced documents. With Multiple Logical Sessions (MLS), you can eliminate the need for dedicated terminals for infrequently used applications.

The 4030 also provides flexible and easy-to-implement system management. Support for Central Site Control Facility (CSCF) allows problem determination and network management for remote controllers, including on-line diagnostics tests on remote controllers. Other NetView utilities supported by the 4030 include Central Site Customization Utility (CSCU) and Central Site Change Management (CSCM).
